The inaugural KEG Conference took place 37 years ago led by a small group of dedicated individuals who were passionate about providing a platform to discuss industry-specific topics and create positive networking opportunities. Today, the KEG Conference has grown to include numerous individuals and businesses and continues to provide an informative and networking-based platform connecting prospectors, geologists, suppliers, manufacturers, and investors alike.
Conference Fees (Brief Overview):

Exploration in Glaciated Terrain: Principles, Applications, and Hands-on Techniques – Led by Roger C. Paulen (Geological Survey of Canada), and Martin Ross (University of Waterloo)
This unique to KEG short course/field trip combination will encompass 2 days. The full day Short Course portion will take place on Monday, April 7, 2025 at the Coast Kamloops Hotel & Conference Centre. It will highlight on the importance of glacial sediment identification, identifying past ice flow movements, till sampling program design and methods, data sources available in British Columbia, a local successful case study by industry, mineral chemistry applications, and the applicability of LiDAR.
Day Two (the full day field trip segment) will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025 off-site with bus transportation provided. Day two will demonstrate ideal and not-so-ideal surficial materials for sampling, sample site selection, sampling techniques, various equipment, and what information should be recorded at each sample site. Other sites will include ice flow indicators, how to measure them, and how to determine flow direction.
Expected participants include industry geologists, prospectors, and geology students.
Inclusions:

Banquet Ticket - $100+gst Date: Tuesday April 8, 2025 Time: 6:30pm to 9:00pm Location: Hilltop Room (within Coast Kamloops Hotel & Conference Centre) Come gather among fellow geologists, prospectors, manufacturers, and more for an evening of recognition, food, and socialization. The evening will commence with a Welcome speech and then the awarding of two awards of recognition for outstanding service and contribution to the mineral industry – The Ron Wells Award and The Gold Pick Award. A delicious buffet-style dinner will follow. Apres dinner, sit back, get your thinking caps on, and be ready to be entertained as you take part in a fun-filled table vs table trivia challenge hosted by Tremendous Trivia! The challenge will consist of three rounds. Will your table earn the bragging rights of being the 2025 KEG Banquet Trivia Champions? Note: Tickets for the Banquet MUST be pre-purchased online before online registration closes. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

Cancellation Policy & Refunds: Prior to and including March 21, 2025, any cancellation will be assessed a $75 CDN administrative fee. There will be no refunds for canceled registrations after March 21, 2025 unless The Kamloops Exploration Group is forced to alter max capacity or cancel event due to causes beyond its control. Should the Kamloops Exploration Group be forced to alter max capacity or cancel the event due to causes beyond its control, Delegates will be contacted in sequential order based on time of booking and asked whether they wish to keep or release their registration. Delegates will be contacted by the Kamloops Exploration Group until the set max capacity number has been reached by those wishing to keep their registration. After max capacity has been fulfilled, registrations slated for release and all remaining registrations will be cancelled and funds returned with the exception of a $75CDN administrative fee.
