The 8th Annual Mining Day took place at the Big Little Science Centre on May 11th. Thank you to co sponsor CIM South Central Branch, all our volunteers and all the industry reps for taking the time to have a hands on educational booth during the event. Big thanks to World Professional Gold Panner Yukon Dan, Uncle Chris The Clown, Face Painting by Denise and 2 X Winter X Games Gold Medalist Brett Turcotte for being a big part of the day. Thanks to MABC for their support with the event. Thank you to the Big Little Science Centre for hosting the event. A huge shout out to the Mining Day Committee for all their long hours in putting together such a fun family education event. This year saw more equipment including an underground scoop from New Gold and a 206 helicopter from Interior Helicopters. So much to see and do! Congratulations also goes out to Luca who was the big winner of the day taking home a brand new bike! We can't wait for next year!! Stay tuned....
