Since 1987, KEG has annually held one of B.C.’s highest quality and most inexpensive conferences. In addition to the two day technical conference highlighting exploration successes and issues, KEG also offers short courses and field trips that are frequently over subscribed.
The Annual KEG Conference is held at the Kamloops Convention Center which is part of the Kamloops Coast Hotel (Formally The Kamloops Towne Lodge).
The Kamloops Coast Hotel was kind enough to provide the following information to help you plan your stay:
Individual call-in reservations can be made directly through the Hotel, through the toll free reservations telephone line 1-800-665-6674. The group name Kamloops Exploration Group -KEG or group block number “10222” must be quoted. The Hotel is not obligated to reserve rooms at the contracted rate unless callers specify that they are requesting reservations in connection with the group. To qualify for the negotiated rate, all reservations must be received by the Hotel by the room block release date of March 2, 2012.

The 2011 Ron Wells Award was presented to Royanna Wild in recognition of her outstanding service and contribution to the Kamloops Exploration Group.
The 2011 Gold Pick Award was presented to Paul Wojdak in recognition of his outstanding service and contribution in the mineral industry.

Once again, the Wet Coasters made their annual trek to the arid plains of Kamloops, to compete for the glory of winning the KEG Conference hockey game.
The annual Coast vs. Interior Hockey game was played on April 4th at the Ice Box Arena. The Coast surprised the Interior in the first half scoring 5 goals. A score of 5 to 2 going into the second, the Interior tried to fight back and they were almost successful.
Bragging rights go the Wet Coasters winning the annual hockey game with a score of 7 to 6. They have broken the Interior's winning streak, but will they continue their own? Next year's game is going to be interesting!
