MINING DAY

KEG together with CIM South Central Branch would like to thank everyone who took part in the first annual Mining Day. It was a huge success and will only get bigger and better!

Congratulations to 13 year old Amy Whitney Wassing. Amy answered all the trivia questions and her ballot was drawn for the new bike. We hope you enjoy it Amy!

Hire a Mining Student from BCIT

BCIT's Mining and Mineral Exploration Technology students are available to begin a summer placement at the beginning of May. These students have completed the first year of their two-year Mining Technology diploma program and are flexible, adaptable, enthusiast workers who are eager to learn and willing to relocate.

Hiring a student is easy, just complete and return the 'employment opportunity form' available on the BCIT website at to Judith_Hall@bcit.ca.

The BCIT office will collect and email the student resumes directly to you saved as one pdf file and then you choose the students you wish to interview and hire.

CIM’s 29th Exhibition will feature the latest equipment, technology, processes and services. Buyers, planners, engineers, researchers, technical experts, managers and directors can meet the best equipment and service suppliers focused on serving the needs of the mining and minerals industry.  The technical program will serve to draw over 5,000 participants who will meet to learn, network and exchange with peers and business leaders alike.  The 5 technical program track themes, which each include up to 24 content-rich sessions, are: Environment, Corporate Social Responsibility, Operations and Maintenance, Hard Rock Prospects to Products, Soft Rock Prospects to Products.
